This week, we’re going to build a referral web in your community.
Today, make a list of every business on your block.
Beside each business name, write the name of the owner and their email address (you can find these online). If they have a general email address but you can’t find the owner’s name, just write that.
Send them an email:
“Hey X, it’s your neighbor Chris here from Catalyst Fitness!
I’m making up a referral board for our clients. Can you tell me what you do (or your specialty) in 1-2 sentences so that I can send them to see you?
Thanks so much. If you want to drop by a business card, I’m in the office from 9-12 most days.”
As you start to get responses, record them in your table (sample above).
Tomorrow, we’ll refer each of them a client!
