Every company is a media company now. If you don’t publish content, you’re invisible.
Most people think “content” means Instagram reels. It doesn’t. Social media is an amplifier — it pulls people toward your content. Your content pulls people toward knowing, liking, and trusting you.
Social media is the megaphone. Content is the message.
What Content Actually Is
Content is the deeper material that lives behind your social media and builds real authority. Three formats:
Blogs are what Google indexes. When someone searches for the problem you solve, your blog post should be the answer they find.
Videos on YouTube — the second-largest search engine in the world — build more trust in 10 minutes than a hundred Instagram posts.
Podcasts build intimacy. When someone listens to your voice for 20 minutes a week, they feel like they know you.
In Part V, we built a social media strategy. That’s your amplifier. Today, we’re building the thing it amplifies.
The Content Interviewer Prompt
The number one objection to creating content is “I don’t know what to say.” Yes, you do. You just haven’t been asked the right questions.
The Content Interviewer is a prompt you paste into Claude. It interviews you — 10 specific questions about your business, your story, your clients, your approach. One at a time. You just talk.
Then it takes your answers and generates a complete content package: a blog post, a podcast script, a YouTube thumbnail direction, five Instagram carousel slides, a podcast summary, and an Instagram caption.
One conversation. Ten pieces of content.
The 10 questions cover your origin story, the problem in your clients’ words, your ideal client, the biggest misconception, what makes your approach different, a client transformation, what you wish clients knew, the hardest part of your work, one actionable tip someone can do today, and what success looks like after working with you.
These aren’t random. They hit every angle your content needs: story, problem, proof, education, and call to action.
The prompt is available for download in the show notes.
Recording Your Video
You don’t need a studio. You need your phone, decent lighting, and a quiet room.
Put your phone on a tripod or lean it against something stable. Face a window for natural light. If recording at night, put a lamp behind your phone pointing at your face.
Audio matters more than video quality. Record in a quiet room with the door closed. Earbuds with a microphone sound better than your phone’s built-in mic.
Pull up the script Claude generated and either read it or use it as an outline. Don’t try to be perfect — record in one take, pause if you stumble, and keep going. Aim for 10-15 minutes.
Producing with Descript
Descript transcribes your video automatically. You edit the video by editing the text — delete a sentence from the transcript and it removes that section from the video.
From one recording, you produce:
The full video — cleaned up, tightened, published to YouTube.
The podcast audio — exported from the video, uploaded to your podcast host.
Highlight reels — 2-3 clips at 30-60 seconds each for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or TikTok. Each one points back to the full episode.
One recording session. Ten-plus pieces of content.
The Content Flywheel
Every piece of content does three things. It makes you findable (Google, YouTube search, podcast apps). It builds trust (by the time someone books a call, they already feel like they know you). And it compounds — a blog post from today generates traffic for years.
Social media is a treadmill. Content is an asset. Both matter, but content converts attention into trust and works for you permanently.
What’s Next
In Part VIII, we’ll cover paid advertising — how to accelerate everything. But only after your other three funnels (social media, referrals, content) are working first. Paid ads without a content foundation is burning money.
Before Part VIII:
- Complete the Content Interviewer prompt
- Record your first video
- Produce it in Descript (full video, podcast audio, 2+ short clips)
- Publish the blog post
- Post the carousel to Instagram
